A simple utility function with the rules-verified weights for analyzing the top competitiveness of WCY 2012

چکیده
Uncertainty always causes hesitations during decision-making. The uncertainty reduction however is not available through simple operations and easy interpretation. This research solves this problem by proposing an evidential weight based on preferences (EWP). The key technique of EWP is the integration of the roughness measures of an induction rule to reduce noises in doubts. The utilities composed of the derived weight from EWP are empirically used on World Competitiveness Yearbook 2012 to analyze the benchmarking nations. This case study shows European welfare nations (Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden) focus on the long term strategic competitiveness while Asian tiger nations (Singapore, Hong Kong, Korea, and Taiwan) are energetic on short term surviving competitiveness. 2013 Elsevier B.V. An extended fuzzy measure on competitiveness correlation based on WCY 2011
The fuzzy measure can highlight important information in analyzing component features, patterns, and trends. However, fuzzy densities and interaction effects are usually unknown or uncertain for implications thus making the fuzzy measure limited in applications. This research proposes an extended fuzzy measure to derive the conditional fuzzy densities from dominance-based rough set approach (DR...
متن کاملPower allocation rules under fuzzy behavior and multicriteria situations
In this paper, we adopt supreme-utilities among fuzzy level (decision) vectors to propose a power allocation rule, its efficient extension and normalization in the framework of multicriteria fuzzy transferable-utility (TU) games. We also provide several axiomatic results to present the rationality for these rules. Based on different viewpoints, we introduce different formulations and dynamic re...
متن کاملA QUADRATIC MARGIN-BASED MODEL FOR WEIGHTING FUZZY CLASSIFICATION RULES INSPIRED BY SUPPORT VECTOR MACHINES
Recently, tuning the weights of the rules in Fuzzy Rule-Base Classification Systems is researched in order to improve the accuracy of classification. In this paper, a margin-based optimization model, inspired by Support Vector Machine classifiers, is proposed to compute these fuzzy rule weights. This approach not only considers both accuracy and generalization criteria in a single objective fu...
متن کاملCompetitiveness of nations: A knowledge discovery examination
This paper presents the insights gained from the use of data mining and multivariate statistical techniques to identify important factors associated with a country’s competitiveness and the development of knowledge discovery in databases (KDD) models to predict it. In addition to stepwise regression and weighted non-linear programming techniques, intelligent learning techniques (artificial neur...
متن کاملMultiple utility constrained multi-objective programs using Bayesian theory
A utility function is an important tool for representing a DM’s preference. We adjoin utility functions to multi-objective optimization problems. In current studies, usually one utility function is used for each objective function. Situations may arise for a goal to have multiple utility functions. Here, we consider a constrained multi-objective problem with each objective having multiple utili...
